That float makes a big difference to my income.
So and then the perception with faster payments or instant payments is that as soon as I make that payment, the funds are out of my account.
So how do I keep that advantage that I have over my cash flow with that instant payment?
Now, we can talk about scheduling and there's obviously ways around that, but I don't think we do enough as an industry to get that out there and let them know what the options are.
So really, I think there's two approaches.
And the first one, nobody's going to like.
There has to be regulatory action or enforcement to move it.
And nobody across the industry wants that, right?
That's not.
The other way I think that we get off of check is we make the incentive to use faster payments outweigh the burden of not using them.
Now, how we go about that is a larger discussion that I don't think anybody has a clear answer on.
But I think by making businesses easier to see the value of faster payments, shifting that volume would go a lot to drive further adoption.
I think that's the key is getting the business volume to shift and making the incentives outweigh the cost, real or perceived.
But, but even if it's all into their, their monthly fee, whatever they're paying.
So it's like some cost fallacy, right?
I'm already getting charged for this.
I might as well use it.
Well, we call those hidden costs, right?
For a reason.
Because they're already hidden in processes somebody's doing anyways.
