Yeah.
So this is my 20th year as a certified financial planner.
And it's been really cool to help people figure out how to get organized around their money and make their dreams come true.
Get from point A to point B. I fell into this career totally by accident.
I, when I was in college, I was going to school to be a teacher and my parents filed for bankruptcy when I was a sophomore.
And that just had my head spinning.
I was like, bankruptcy?
What does this mean?
How did we get here?
Like, how do they get out of this?
Are they going to jail?
What's happening?
And so that prompted me to start studying finance a little bit more.
Just for me, just so I could get a better picture of what I was missing and what I didn't know to make my life better so I could avoid those mistakes that my parents had made.
So I started taking some classes in personal financial planning, really just for me.
But once I got into it, I just thought it was so interesting and like topics I'd never explored before.
And then as I took two and three classes, I was like, you know what?
This would be a cool career to help people navigate the world of money because no one ever teaches you how to do it, right?
Like you just learn by trial and error and what you pick up along the way.
