Yeah, we talked about it last week, right?
A crisis of accountability for where the team finds itself.
The internal noise.
Kevin Woodley on Halford & Brough this morning, and he pointed out that he spends a lot of time in the visiting locker room.
right because of his work with NHL.com so he talks to players around the league he talks to guys who are maybe ex-Canucks who are coming back and he hears a lot of these complaints a lot of the complaints that were mirrored in the agents poll that ran at the Athletic today right and he even said you know some guys talk about ownership and some guys talk about hey I really didn't like
the president of hockey operations airing some of my dirty laundry or airing the team's dirty laundry.
So that all contributes.
And in fact, in many ways, I think the fans and the media are just reacting to that stuff more than anything else than creating the, you know, whatever you want to call it, the miasma that hangs above Rogers Arena.
And I'd point out the other part of this is that Jim Rutherford, as we understand it has one year left on his deal and has been noncommittal about what his future looks like and is 77 years old.
Yeah.
And so that's the other, like, and I'm not the first person to point this out, right.
As the Rutherford stays, but Alvin goes plan has kind of,
As that plan has become front and center and maybe the betting favorite, we'd say right now, although obviously it's still up in the air.
A lot of people have pointed out like, well, hold on a second.
Isn't Rutherford the one calling the shots here?
Isn't Rutherford the one behind the big picture direction?
Like what does this really address anything?
Does this really change anything?
And I think especially when you think about that, Rutherford could be gone in a year just because of the nature of his contract.
And he might want to step aside and retire at that point.
