Now, the other question from Detroit is,

perspective is just what do you do how does this affect your team building strategy going forward especially considering you've missed the playoffs so many years in a row can you justify taking even a temporary step back you look at it in a vacuum and you think okay Lucas Raymond is 24 he's signed long term Mo Sider is 25 he's signed long term to a really good deal Simon Edmondson you're high on him he's 23

Okay, take a step back and build around that core that I just laid out.

And if Detroit had just made the playoffs, you know, four years in a row, that might be possible.

But when you're coming off a drought or you're in the midst of a drought, as long as it's been for Detroit, I don't know if you can sell that to your fans.

Because there's a ton of veterans that they're going to have the chance to move on from.

in the next couple of seasons here, Dylan Larkin, maybe unwillingly, right?

Alex to bring it has one more year left on his deal.

Andrew cop has one more year left on his deal.

JT conference just got a couple of years left on his deal.

In theory, this would not be that difficult to team to kind of disassemble and do a quick retool.

But if you're Stevie, why do you think you're going to survive a retool attempt at this point in the playoff drought in Detroit?

Is that going to force them to try to make a win now, salvage a deal, salvage a Dylan Larkin deal with a win now type of trade, which I think is going to be very, very difficult to do.

So that's the interesting one because Jason Robertson is a great player.
