The problem then is when it's like the direct input where it's like, you should make this move.
I think teams are often better served
building that firewall, right?
The managers manage coaches, coach players, play firewall for, you know, because sometimes the players are so in the weeds of their day-to-day life and their day, you know, like, Oh, I trust this guy.
Cause I've, I've been in the room with him.
I know what he's all about, but they missed the bigger picture.
And so that's the concern for me.
And I think you look at a team like Vegas or Florida or whatever, and obviously they're going to talk to their top players about things and they're going to have a
a sense of what they want, but I think they do it by just players know that those teams are really smart and competent, and they're going to be really aggressive about trying to win.
And so you don't need to give all this specific input.
That's where you need to get to.
I mean, it's a lot easier said than done, though, from an NHL team perspective, if you're not already at that point.
I did also see, speaking of Jim Hiller,
I believe it was Nick Kiprios on Kipper and Bourne on our sister station on Toronto 590 saying he's heard he's going to have, Jim Hiller's going to have roster input as well with the Leafs.
So, throwing more duties.
Here you go, Jim Hiller.
Let's give you even more control over this situation.
Those contracts are still in the books.
