So there's this breakdown in communication.
And for me, this possibly is the main reason why we don't see so much of these kinds of actions in football is because
There's other reasons, the risk factor we can get into as well.
But coaches are, I would say, have become increasingly hesitant to allow football actions in their system which are not exhibiting clear messages.
And I think there's positives and negatives to that because, okay, if you don't allow these kinds of movements, then you're going to become predictable for the opposition, right?
Exactly, without descending into chaos, right.
And this is the great concern.
If we allow unclear messages, then the system will fail and we will descend into some kind of horrendous, chaotic situation.
So like you said it seems to me that at this point in football theory it's becoming increasingly clear that
It is important, yes, to maintain, let's call it internal coherence, that the teammates of the team are on the, to some degree, or in some way, the same page, or enough to be functional, enough to be effective, whatever that might look like, but at the same time, be communicating in a way that is difficult for the opponent to understand.
And I think this is a part that's been perhaps a little bit missing from theories like Verheyen's.
It's like, yeah, sure, internal communication is absolutely super important.
No arguments.
But we need, for me, the way I see it, to add another piece there and say, yeah, we need to communicate together, but we also need
