But yeah, I think, you know, it brings up this question of aesthetics, right?
And, you know, aesthetics matter.
And there's a feeling, certainly among neutrals and I think in the Arsenal fan base as well, that there's things about Arteta's approach to, you know, playing football that are in some sense not getting the best out of some of the...
attacking resources that he has at his disposal.
He mentioned Giocarez, but then, okay, was Arteta involved in signing Giocarez?
I don't know exactly whose decision that was.
But, I mean, I agree with some of the things you said, I think Giocarez isn't really sufficient to play number nine for Arsenal.
I think he's lacking in too many areas.
And then there's the whole emphasis on...
We've mentioned it already and it's been talked about a lot, but it's true, this emphasis on set pieces, which is fine because there's obviously gains that you can make by identifying a niche like that.
And we've seen how Arsenal have gained from having a high efficiency rate.
in converting their set pieces, and Nicholas Jovers there conducting operations from the side, and obviously they're doing very well at that, but there's opportunity cost.
If you're going to focus on that, then you're focusing less on other ways of scoring goals, of creating attacking moments.
And if you're going to focus on this set piece approach and scoring in transition, this kind of thing,
then, you know, yeah, you can win, but you certainly run the risk of alienating people, right?
And there is, I think, a feeling that what Arteta has done this season, maybe with the last couple of years, because it hasn't always been like this, like 22, 23, like they were playing, I think, much more attractive attacking football.
But Arteta has made this decision to go down this route.
And maybe it would be the same if he played really attacking football now and finished second.
People would be like, oh, you know, attacking football doesn't work.
We've got to be more efficient.
