And one day, 30 guys from the Interior Ministry raided my office with a search warrant looking for companies that have paid a lot of tax.
That's a head-scratcher because normally the police...
are looking for companies that haven't paid their tax, but they wanted companies that paid a lot of tax.
They ripped my office apart, beat up one of my attorneys and put him in the hospital for three weeks and took all these documents.
And the next thing we knew
Bill Browder's companies were being sued for a billion dollars.
And not only that, we found out that there had already been a lawsuit.
And we're like, wait a minute, how can there be a lawsuit?
Because you need lawyers.
We're the lawyers.
And it turned out that all the police had done when they raided my office, they raided it for a special reason.
They wanted to grab the documents that would allow them to hijack control of three of this guy's Browder's companies.
