A lot of my attitudes have changed, but I do think other people's attitudes have changed as well.
I've talked about this quite a lot.
I didn't have my Irish passport until about six years ago.
And for me, that was a big journey.
My family, I'm the only Irish passport holder in my family.
I did come from a unionist Presbyterian background to people who identify as British.
But I have felt so much warmth and love and acceptance from the Irish writing community in particular.
They've been really keen to learn about the culture of how I grew up.
They've been really accepting.
So there's been such a draw there.
I feel much more strong affiliation with the Irish writing community than with the British writing community.

Oh, yeah.
It started to come back again, I think it was in the papers yesterday.
The sun and the summer impacts the algae dreadfully.
So with the last few years, we've had a really, really, really invasive bloom, probably the worst that's ever happened.
But if you go there in the wintertime, when the sunshine's not on the loch and the water's not as warm, it seems to fade away a bit.
But, yeah, we're beginning the summer again and it's going to be just as bad.
And there are a lot of, yeah, it is a crisis at this point.
Well, it's funny you should ask that, Matt, because I launched the book in Derry two nights ago and I said in Derry to the audience, you know, I'm sure you've all been to Loch Nye and a third of the audience from Derry had never been to Loch Nye.
