And it was a really exciting time to be in the North at that stage.
Like things were changing, not just politically, but the arts was coming back and flourishing.
And there was a real sense of hope, which sometimes I, you know, I get very conscious that it didn't quite play out.
You know, there's a line in the book where they talk about, you know, where is this sexy, wonderful piece that we were promised 25 years later?

Like I often talk about going to the library and school to wanting to see the community that I grew up in represented and it wasn't there.

I think that changes a lot post Milkman and Derry Girls.
There's a moment there where suddenly teenage girls are being explored in terms of their perspective and the troubles.
It's not just angry men and balaclavas anymore.
