They have lives outside of writing.

So if you can train yourself to use a we are here time and, you know, I was on the Enterprise up this morning writing on the desk on the way in.

You learn how to do that and it becomes a really healthy practice to have.

I know.

And I'm going to get in trouble because I honestly can't think of anything more heinous than being taught how to write.

And yet I make most of my money teaching people to write.

And what I say for that is the big thing about writing is it's finding out what works for you and for some folks differently.

a writing workshop or an MA will be absolutely brilliant.

And for others, just read.

You'll learn everything you need from reading really widely.

It hasn't kicked in yet.

Yeah, I mean, I think it's going to be a very long time before I get bored with the material around me.

I have the next five books written, which is ludicrous.

And I know every time I say that, some writer looks like they want to stab me.
