Yeah, and I think I've had a number of conversations since this book came out about how
Particularly in the north, we have an awful tendency to separate trauma into troubles related trauma and other kinds of trauma.
And actually, I think a lot of people are coming to see that all of that is related.
Like, it does not surprise me that we have these very high rates of violence against women because we had a culture for 50 years where
You know, men thought that shouting and lifting a gun and being violent was a way to get their, you know, their their message across or to get their own way.
And none of that stops, you know, in the public sphere.
When you go home, it continues.
And I think there are a lot of these traumas that we're seeing with mental health issues, with the domestic violence that you've mentioned.
And even with, you know, a lot of the kind of race issues that we've had in the last few years, I'm from Ballymena originally, and we had those horrific race riots there last year.
It's difficult to separate it from the Troubles trauma.

a kind of culture of fear and a culture of anger and rage that's been bred into this part of the world for a very long time.
And I guess in some of those other things, I'm a massive advocate of integrated education and our school system here is still over 90 percent segregated.
And if you raise children to be separate from each other,
It doesn't surprise me that things like racism and homophobia and fear of the other begins to take hold because you're not bringing kids up to be exposed and challenged and to make people who are different from them.
