So it follows the kind of key players within the Women's Coalition over that period where they form and then the run up to the Good Friday Agreement and how they really contend it for things like women's rights and childcare and all of those super important things.
And, you know, in that period and the run up to the Good Friday Agreement was hectic.
And a lot of concessions were made just to get the peace deal across the line.
But there is an incredibly telling line.
I think it's the Monica McWilliams character who's extremely glamorous in the play.
And she says, you know, we don't want to be sitting here in 25 years, you know, looking at women being afraid and being threatened in their own homes.
And it is incredibly, you know, you could have heard a pin drop in the mic when that was said, because that's exactly what we're looking at 25 years later.
All these things that haven't happened.
And, you know, we all up here know that the Good Friday Agreement was a necessary agreement for the moment.
to get, you know, draw a line under the violence and to move us forward.
But it was only ever meant to be a holding document.
And a lot of those things like integrated education and the integration of housing and things like that, those were meant to revisit those and to move forward.
And, you know, there's a line in my book where I think only four or five years after the peace agreement at this point in the novel, but
a character says, you know, when is the piece going to kick in?
That all of those things that we were promised, many of them haven't been delivered yet.
And it leaves you feeling like you're living in a kind of stasis.
It's much, much better than it was when I was a child growing up here.
And nobody wants to undermine that fact, but it could be so much better.
And I would love to see the politicians taking a long, hard look at things like integrated education and
