The peace walls and a lot of the issues around like unemployment and mental health.
There are huge issues here that have just not been looked at hard enough.
Oh my goodness, that makes me feel like I've been around for a long time.
And there was a real emphasis on, you know, I probably couldn't have told you at the time, but now looking back, an emphasis on separatism of not being in the world and that kind of extend it to limiting our access to the arts.
And, you know, I don't I actually didn't have my first alcoholic drink till I was 21.
Which is crazy.
I've had a fair few since then, but I've been making up for that last time.
And I think some of the other things that were super important for me was it was not a space that really encouraged women to have voices, opinions, opinions.
And I've always been quite driven and I've always quite liked the sound of my own voice.
So very early on, I was like, I can't find a space to be in this world.
It feels like, I remember as a teenager writing down in my diary, like, you know, the best part of me is what you think is the worst part of me.
Oh, yeah.
And I come back to that thought quite a few times.
Like, you know, the idea that
I think for a woman to be outspoken, to know her own mind, to be creative, those are all things to be celebrated.
But in that world, they're things to be feared and to be restricted.
The best part of me is what they perceive to be the worst part.
So you were seen as a bit of a problematic child?
I think just that early on, that annoying child that was always, why?
