particularly with the last few books, quite a bit of backlash from my own community.
And sometimes it's frustrating because oftentimes they haven't read the book.
They've just assumed what it's about.
And I think I try really hard to give a nuanced portrayal.
That's the community I come from.
I'm part of it.
I don't want to hurt anybody, but there are things within it that need to be pointed out and critiqued.
But I also want to say that I kind of understand where that response comes from, because oftentimes when that unionist, that evangelical, that kind of... I mean, even, and it's not a criticism of you, but you used the term Bible-thumping...
Yes, I did.
I'm sorry.
Because I would use it as well.
But they are so used to being pastiched and ridiculed that they are on the back foot a little bit.
And I understand where that hurt comes from.
And so I would love I'd love to see more writers writing nuanced kind of respectful but questioning stories.

And I think there are, you know, Gail McConnell and Moira Donaldson, who are both wonderful poets, have written really well about the evangelical community in the North.
