was that in communist societies the greatest good is in fact the survival and supremacy of the communist party as you pointed out so what happens well in every single communist society that's ever existed mass atrocities why because for the greatest good which is of course the survival of the party
any amount of people, anything can be sacrificed, and that's actually what you get.
And so this, again, this kill-to-order system, which I can sort of explain to you how it works, because it's kind of an unbelievable thing when you first hear about it, is actually a feature of communism.
If the technical possibility exists, it's something that we would almost expect to develop, and it's not a bug, as you would say.

So my wife's father was a Holocaust survivor.
He survived Buchenwald and a number of these German camps.
And he was also just a fascinating guy, a philosopher.
He wrote his memoir, which was actually something that helped in a way my wife and I get together and find love.
I invited her to use the memoir as a kind of a guidebook, and I was her guide.
And that was how we actually basically got together.
um and years later uh just i'm not i can't give you the whole story here but basically through an amazing quirk of fate we had the opportunity to make a film about him three generations of the family with him in the lead go back to poland and germany and we call it an optimistic holocaust documentary which in fact it is because he doesn't sort of judge individual people
Uh, or he, he looks at everybody as an individual, not, uh, you know, sort of the, the Germans are responsible for my data.
I mean, it just, it was a, it was a, it was a fascinating, fascinating, uh, uh, documentary to make one, a bunch of awards, highly recommended finding many.com.
