We had friends that said, you know, you should consider not using any birth control and let God plan your family. And it's like, okay, why would we do that? As we looked into it, we thought at the time, it just sounds like a good idea. Why don't we do that and really trust God with this is what we had decided. Then we ended up with 10 children.

It's a lot of children, but they're not, they weren't 10, two year olds. You know, we did, we did spread them out. And, um, by the time the third child came along, the other two were old enough to entertain him. And, um, They just got along really well. We homeschooled. I homeschooled for 30 years.

Uh, no, no, it's great. Um, You just assume that everybody's going to have 10 kids, you know, and they don't. And that was their decisions. And I think they've done a really good job. I still have 18 grandchildren, so I'm not going to complain.

All I remember is the bad connotation associated with it. That the man is king and, you know, you're barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen. And I honestly don't remember anything that positive about it.

And we had heard there were people, this is really crazy, people making communities where the bell rings and everybody gets up and you have to have all these children and do everything when the bell rings. And it's like, excuse me, that was not our intent at all.

Actually, when you read the chapter that I wrote, please, yeah, forgive me. Things have changed a little bit in that.
