And I trained every day, hours a day, busting my guts, vomiting most days a week, pushing myself beyond human limits to try and win the Olympics.

Um, I want everything else, all Commonwealth, world titles, everything you can imagine.

And then the only one that I really wanted never came to fruition.

So I think

It's funny because that used to really hurt, whereas now I've achieved my ultimate goal in medicine.

I don't it doesn't bother me as much.

But certainly and around the time I wrote that book it was still it still haunted me considerably.

Ugh, it kind of happened organically for me in some respects.

I think probably the day I got the letter to say you're into medical school was was the first time I went, Wow, that's it.

I've I've achieved the thing I actually wanted most in life.

Like as I said, right from when I was a little little kid, all I want to be was a doctor.

I think that uh let a lot of it go.

And I can pinpoint another time.

I was

trying to to make the Rio Olympic Games in two thousand and sixteen.

So I'd already done Bob Sud and I'd come back to athletics and I wanted one more shot at the Olympics.

And then I got the opportunity from a doctor to stay back and help deliver a baby.

And I had to make the decision, do I go to the track and train or do I help deliver a baby?

And I stayed and delivered the baby.
