Therefore I'm yeah, I'm very grateful that my parents genetically gave me a brain I could use.
to fall in love with something else. 'Cause it is it is a hard transition.
It's not just sport.
It's even as you were saying, it's transitioning from any area in your life where your identity is your focus and trying to find a new one.
Actually, there's another one another thing I want to mention.
I also think that one of the big things that I was picked on for my career, but also is my asset, is that I am very emotional.
So as I left athletics, I allowed that grief to come out s with it.
So I cried through the days that I wasn't training and I cried through the injuries and
I allowed myself to look in the mirror and be really disappointed with the failures and deal with them as they were there, rather than bottling them up and just saying, No, that's it.
I've got a great new career.
I'm fantastic.
I'm I'm gonna be good.
I'm so lucky.
I genuinely grieved for that loss of that career and that identity and it allowed me to then take the next step into my new one.
without such a big void left behind.
And I think that's something it's funny 'cause I talk about it when I do my motivational speaking events now. 'Cause I think so many times you get successful people who get up there and go, just get on with it.
You know, it's about resilience, it's about getting over all the hardships and and finding where your inner strength is and having all surrounding yourself with positivity, you know, brings out more positivity.
But I think in actual fact, the authenticity of being human and sitting down and going, I'm really hurt by this and this really sucks allows us to actually move on more openly.
And don't get me wrong, there's still, as I said, still days, but I let them out.
I don't bottle them up.
