Lebanese state media said they were killed by a drone attack that targeted their vehicle on a main road in southern Lebanon.
Israel said it hit what it considered a suspicious vehicle traveling in a combat zone, but added that it does not target the Lebanese military.
Lebanon's president condemned the attack as a violation of Lebanese sovereignty.
The Lebanese army has been tasked with disarming Iran-backed Hezbollah, which Israel is fighting, and is key to the ceasefire plan agreed by Israel and Lebanon.
