So true.

Yeah.

Another phone call that was actually really um uh uh pivotal in my life was uh again, this is kind of where that in impulsiveness of your ADHD shows up.

Uh is when I left hospital social work, I was I went into psychiatry.

We moved from I were moved from UMass Medical Center over to Fairfield, California, picked up the phone book in the yellow pages because there wasn't an internet at that time.

I'm sounding a little older.

Uh and

called all the psychiatrists and one new psychiatrist in town uh um interviewed me he brought me in and I convinced him to hire me and um turns out that uh it was Daniel Eyman.

I don't know if you guys may know Daniel Eman.

So um we started working together and uh it was through his uh I started doing all these evaluations.

This was back in the early in the mid late 80s, early 90s when it

adult ADHD was just being considered as a d DSM diagnosis.

Uh and it was also at the time when he started shortly thereafter started doing all these brain images and he asked the whole um staff to come in if they wanted to.

Come on in, I'll give you brain, you know, I need some brains, is what he meant.

I I need some normal brains is what he said.

So I thought, I don't know if you're gonna get normal, but I wanna see what my brain looks like.

So uh so I went in and um we both looked at my scan together and he went, hmm.

I kinda didn't expect this from you.

Uh and I said, Well, you know, tell me about this.
