I can imagine the same incident as we've just sort of
Um displayed that the same incident can bring out shame or humiliation.
And I think in my life I've felt a lot of shame.
I'm not sure I've actually felt that much humiliation.
Maybe a little bit, but not a huge amount.
But I feel like that says something more to the core of who I am and it feels like it can something be extrapolated about that person, whether they how they interpret a certain incident.

Yeah, so years ago I told this story, but uh a long time ago I was at a party with people I didn't know, I had a book in my jacket pocket and a guy pulled it out and started reading it out aloud and taking the piss out of me and there were lyrics to I was trying to write songs and they passed it round at the party and everyone had a go at reading.

And then from that moment I kind of don't think I ever really tried to write lyrics again.
I sort of stopped un until doing the show and talking about it on the show.
Um, but for a very, very long time I barely wrote anything.
Um, and to me it felt like immediate humiliation transitioned into shame straight away.
