I think we should really talk to their accountant because that could trigger all sorts of tax complications.

And what might appear to be incredibly obvious often is not the law and goes against how things actually are in Trustland.
Well, first off, from purely a legal perspective, it is not a legal entity.
It's a relationship.
It's a fiduciary relationship.
And people do have fiduciary relationships.
We've all got them.
You've got a fiduciary relationship with your daughter.
Your doctor is meant to know better than you, and when you go to them, they are meant to treat you to the best of their ability, and your interests are paramount.
Absolutely, and all those sorts of things.
And so that's what trustees are about.
Trustees owe duties of care and other duties, of course, to the beneficiaries.
