But that's a good explanation for lay people.
A lot of people, a lot of people.
I set up my first trust when I was 19, and that was the very first asset I bought was within a trust.
And I think that that's great advice.
Not everybody should have a trust, but you really want to try and set one up before you need it.
So if you're going into business, everybody goes into business, for instance, with great intentions of being highly successful.
So they plan lots for success, but they never plan for failure.
So you can't set a trust up when the creditors are knocking down the door and the receiver's about to walk through.
So you want to make sure
That whilst you're planning for success, you're also planning that if there's a rainy day that comes along, that you are well and truly prepared for that.
So trusts are great asset protection devices, but they've got to be put in place well in advance.
That's right.
And they should indeed do that.
But of course, they've got to be run right.
So I think of trusts like insurance policy.
So if you go and get an insurance policy on your home, then the insurer will say, if your home burns down, we will pay out.
We will reinstate.
But you have to meet certain conditions.
