At Britain's BAFTA Film Awards tonight, the politically charged action thriller One Battle After Another won six prizes, including Best Picture.

The vampire saga Sinners and gothic horror story Frankenstein each won three prizes.

Paul Thomas Anderson was named Best Director for One Battle After Another.

Jessie Buckley won the Best Actress prize for Hamnet, while Robert Armao took the Best Actor prize for the British indie film I Swear, beating stars including Leonardo DiCaprio and Timothee Chalamet.

The British awards offer clues about who might win at the Academy Awards in Hollywood next month.

The U.S.

and Iran plan to hold new talks in Geneva Thursday, according to Iran's foreign minister.

The goal?

Averting what Iran says could be a regional war if the U.S.

attacks.

The Secret Service says an armed man was shot and killed at Mar-a-Lago in Florida early this morning after he breached a security perimeter at President Trump's resort.

Trump wasn't there at the time.

The man died at the scene and no agents or officers were injured.

The shooting is under investigation and there's no word on a motive.
