Supreme Court striking down President Trump's use of emergency tariffs, U.S.

Trade Representative Jameson Greer says the administration's strategy is not changing.

Greer tells the Fox News Rundown podcast to rely on alternative authorities to replicate the country-by-country tariffs imposed back in April.

Still, some of those additional tariff authorities are either temporary, like a global tax imposed earlier this month, or require additional investigations.

President Trump says he knew the Reverend Jesse Jackson long before he became president, describing the civil rights leader as very gregarious and someone who truly loved people.

The president says for years, Jackson's Rainbow Coalition worked out of the Trump building in lower Manhattan.

President Trump will deliver a message on affordability and the economy Thursday in Rome, Georgia, the White House says.

Rome is in the heart of Georgia's 14th congressional district where a special election is underway to succeed Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene, who resigned from Congress in January.

Senate.

The House and Senate left town before Friday night's deadline to pass a funding bill for the Department of Homeland Security.

Hours before the shutdown deadline, President Trump did not suggest a breakthrough as imminent to resolve demands from Democrats to rein in immigration enforcement carried out by ICE and Border Patrol.

Without a spending agreement, funding for the TSA, FEMA, and the Coast Guard lapses, putting paychecks at risk.
