Watch the town fail and then watch it spring back from the ashes.

I'm doing this along a street called Territory Lane when I see something that makes me freeze.

There is, in the past, a trail of blood dragging along the street into one of the houses.

I flip to the present and it's gone.

Back to the past, and there is blood.

I step forward, put my fingers on it, and they come away red.

Still fresh.

Well, I've come this far.

So I follow the blood trail up to one of the old houses.

A quick glance at the present tells me this is now a bed and breakfast.

Seems cute.

Back in the past, and the blood leads me through a half-open old door.

I don't know what I expected to find, but this is beyond that.

There are seven, maybe eight bodies here.

They are segmented.

Parts of them are missing, cleanly removed, with a little gap still left.

I get a horrible feeling and turn my vision to the present, where the entryway of the bed and breakfast is scattered with the missing body parts, draining out onto the cute vintage rug.

Nothing has started to rot yet, so the smell is not putrid, but the hot nickel smell of blood.

I start to back away.

I don't know what kind of danger I'm in here,
