If your defense is just manhandling somebody, why would you do that?

You would punt, back them up, let it happen if they can't score on offense, right?

But if they have an explosive offense, especially in the fourth quarter, you're thinking, you got to make it happen.

You can't sit back.

So that's why those decisions are made.

It's an overall game planning thing.

So not every... If you're not confident...

And your ability to stop the offense every single time or say you just had a quick three and out or something and you just need to try to sustain a drive.

It's all that kind of stuff.

So the art of it is the feel from the head coach on the environment that you're calling that play.

Like what is the reason you're calling it on that down and distance?

And that's what we get to evaluate on Monday.

So in my point of view, it was the right call for that game.

Two things about that.

First of all, it's a scoring league.

Everything favors the offense.

The second thing, it allows you to call a different play on second and third down.
