Those are bad losses for San Jose and Anaheim, neither of whom are playoff quality teams, despite the fact that one of them, Anaheim, will probably qualify.

A couple of encouraging Canucks moments from the first period last night in terms of team spirit and
One was Teddy Bluger challenging Radko Gudis to a fight after Gudis took out Liam Ogren.
That takes some courage.
The other was how happy a bunch of the young guys looked when Curtis Douglas scored his first NHL goal.
And I'm sure the veterans were happy for Curtis Douglas too, but...
It was Curtis Douglas and a bunch of young guys on the ice when he scored.
It was Ratu.
It was Kudryavsev.
It was Mueller and DPD out there.
And somehow that group of five players scored a goal in the NHL.
First NHL point for Kudryavsev, too.
And he was probably like, hey...
Should we celebrate me too?
You know what?
That's pretty cool.
Anyway, Douglas followed up his goal with a scrap of his own later in the period.
All of a sudden, we were on Gordie Howe Hattrick watch, which did not come to fruition, but we'll accept it.
