Yeah like it is it is very very front loaded like Seamus was saying they're like five games compared to what is it 55 for football like that's crazy like if we're if you're talking about like trying to promote the game and stuff like that like you can't
on one hand be saying we're trying to promote the game and we're putting in these games development officers and all this in weaker counties and then it's not if like if you can't see it you can't do it like so you know what i mean on the other side of it then we're not actually showing a huge amount of games when kids are off during the summer and stuff like that like so how do you promote the game if it's not being shown you know what i'm saying
But who is it for?
I know what you're saying, let's say that the Munster Championship games are brilliant for the last couple of years, but who, by having that jeopardy in it, let's say, and having two teams going, who is it benefiting?
Like it's not benefiting the players in Waterford, who have been like really, really close to going to Munster the last couple of years.
Who is it for?
Is it for supporters watching on?
Is it for neutrals?
Is it for the Munster Council?
Who is it for?
It's an amateur organisation at the end of the day that is supposed to be for the players.
But the players in those counties or the teams that go out are heavily punished.
It's hard to argue against that.
and like Peter Quealy mentioned that afterwards you know about like trying to entice youngsters in Watford to play hurling and go and see it and it was only kind of brought home to me last year when I really thought about it that there's a guy in the club he was bringing his son to Croke Park for the All-Ireland semi-final last year he was what seven or eight and that was his first time going to be going to Croke Park because Tip hadn't been in Croke Park since 2019 yeah like when I was growing up that would have been you know Tip were in Croke Park every year and you were going there and you were seeing it and the buzz of it and going up to Dublin for the day and everything like
You're missing that side of it also.
