If you can map out a reasonable path ahead and having a buffer is always so important, right?

So we want to make sure that we're not left out high and dry if situations change.

But absolutely, again, a one, two-year timeline, there's a lot you can change.

The other thing that what we're seeing that has been really good for our team is the people who pick up kids from school and drop them off.

and being a bit more engaged.

And I guess the choice to work from home, again, we're lucky because we're a tech company and we are remote, but we can use that to our advantage.

And so there are certainly other companies out there that if you have a two or three year horizon and you, again, cards on the table, right?

Like, what are my options?

Is this a time for me to think about a role that better suits the next five years of my life?

where I can still be engaged and there's a culture that is more suitable for me.

These companies do exist and I absolutely, to your point, it's worth asking that question at the very least.

Absolutely.

You tax differently.

There's so many factors at play and people need to think about this because it's not a net figure, right?

So to your point earlier, if you're two people earning 75K each, your tax brackets are lower.

And so you're paying less, you're keeping more.

It's very true.

What you said earlier about women being impacted more so than men is absolutely true.

So there's a stat that I found looking through public data.

And in America, 1.2 to 1.5 million people were taken out of the workforce a couple of years ago, in a year, I think 2024, because of childcare.
