And I understand the Pirates' standpoint.
Their idea is if we're going to inherit all of this risk of an eight-year contract, we want value.
And they should want value.
There's nothing wrong with that.
So, I mean, there are just two things that both of these sides are really clinging to.
But that's why I go back to my previous answer of saying that there is incentive for Connor Griffin.
There is incentive for the pirates.
Oftentimes when that happens, two logical parties will come together and get something done.
So I,
You know, I know what Austin asked earlier, and I mean, I want to see something get done.
I feel pretty good about getting something done.
I just have a tough time projecting it because, you know, you just never know with that stuff.
I mean, man, they liked Criollo for his defensive consistency.
They think there's more in his bat than he's shown.
I'm explaining to you.
I personally don't totally understand why.
You know, he's a really good third baseman.
I'm not sure how much value he's providing at shortstop.
I can understand a little bit more him playing third base, and then you just live with what you have at shortstop.
But, you know, I also understand.
