And I think I'm not claiming that we're like the Bay Area in any in any way, shape or form, but you know, I think the PE world and certainly the HD portfolio is perhaps a microcosm where we do have 40 companies that are all trying to do very similar things, you know, can come across similar challenges.
Someone may have been there already.
So that's why we do absolutely try and leverage what we call the power of the portfolio and sharing amongst ourselves.
And you know, as I said, it's not the same scale, but it's definitely a support mechanism that we think is really important and and people absolutely leverage that across the portfolio.

I'm the head of portfolio technology and cybersecurity here at HG.
Today I've got the pleasure of being joined by my colleague Callum Thompson, as well as Espen Agnot Johansson of Visma and John Strasser of Sovos, both experts in cybersecurity in companies that are familiar with the risks and benefits of MA.

Callum, did you want to take us off?
So, Espen, that the the concept of providing that transparency and visibility and then potentially creating warranties in agreement, legal agreements, have you found that there's a is there a receptiveness to that, or has there been any sort of education that you've needed to provide, or something that helps people understand?
why, you know, cyber is a risk that that's very real and you know is no different from other risks where there's warranties built into agreements and those kind of things.
So ha have you had any challenges with that?
Do you find that that, you know, the importance of in effect optimizing the scope and that area of attention, is that also influenced by time, how much time you'll tend to have available to you?
So in addition to what are the dynamics around the deal, I'd imagine there's also a bit of an influence around how much time are you going to get?
I think the um with MA, what we talk about is the art and the science and the blend of the two.
So I think in it it applies to cyber as much as anything else is there's clearly the methods, the science, but there's also instinct and the art of this in terms of what have I heard, what have I seen, what's this information looking like.
And that influences certain the way Callum and I work, it it will it will influence where we maybe dig a bit deeper or maybe we think actually, you know what, there's enough we know enough about that, we're okay.
But instinctively, there's something here that we want to dig deeper in.
