is uh is trying to social climb within the bellport community and trying to join this kind of secret society like women's social club um called the queen anne's and she's trying to do this while her husband is having a little bit of a breakdown which causes some uh some some problems and
And their two kids, meanwhile, are dealing with problems of their own, including one of their daughters thinks that she can talk to animals.
It all makes for a very interesting story that was very entertaining and fun to read, in large part because of the characters in this Bellport community all doing ridiculous things and saying ridiculous things.
It is a very entertaining book.
In between each chapter is kind of like a look at like, I don't think they call it Facebook, but it is essentially a Facebook page for the Bellport community.
And you'll have these kind of like messages being exchanged by oftentimes the women of Bellport who are very concerned with like the things that are going on at other people's houses and are talking about this constantly.
Yeah, so we're seeing some of the kind of the events unfold through those little chats.
Yes.
There's also an excellent Queen Bee character who you just truly love to hate and who comes in and plays a pretty major role in the story.
And yeah, I don't want to say much more about what happens to Alan and his lifestyle and how things change, but it's very entertaining.
Very entertaining read.
I recommend it.
Very reminiscent of like your friends and neighbors and other stories in that vein.
