So he drove on a blizzard to get to this place.
And I think it was like a three, four hour drive.
Got there and it was like a mountain of dishes waiting to be washed.
And he washed those and then he got paid.
And then he couldn't even, I mean, it was not a lot of money to count, but still like he couldn't even count his fingers are so stiff from washing.
And then he drove back on Blizzard and all that.
So those were like more of the extreme gigs.
Other gigs, I remember like in Jersey, I remember actually going over to like Cape May, for example, there was a restaurant over there.
And I kind of tagged along once because the owner had the house where all the employees were staying.
And he had a kid, so I was hanging out with his kid.
It was sort of like a mini vacation while my father was working for the restaurant.

And restaurants are networked as well, so they will know whoever hired you for this restaurant may be able to introduce you to another one, et cetera.
So it's a very interesting system.
And why is it so, like, freelance?
Everything's very seasonal, I think, and business is a little unpredictable.
And honestly, people change, like, in terms of what they want.
The instability, I think, of the immigrant working population is because they have instability in their lives, right?
They don't know if they're going to be in this country for that long.
