We did a delegation to Stanton's office and then had a meeting with Palestinian Jewish constituents.
And he just didn't move.
And he's been so locked into that posture of just endless unconditional military aid, pushing back on any efforts to hold Netanyahu and company accountable, that I think it's very fair to say he's been actively complicit in the genocide in Gaza.
And that's just morally disqualifying, in my view.
AIPAC is his top contributor.
He also voted for the Lake and Riley Act that gave Trump a green light
campaign, gave ICE more power to detain and deport immigrants in our country.
And he voted twice against impeaching Trump last year.
And in this time of just crisis and emergency in our country and the world,
He not only hasn't been standing up enough to fight back against the authoritarians, oligarchs, and war criminals, but in some cases, he's facilitated what they're carrying out.
He's enabled it.
And he's out of step with the vast majority of Democrats on some core issues.
It's unacceptable.
Every seat in Congress is precious, not just for the constituents of the district, but for the whole country and even the world because our government impacts so many people.
So we can't afford to have somebody in that seat who's voting like he is.
Many people asked me to consider taking this on and ultimately I decided to listen to them and do everything I could to take the wheel away and be able to use this seat to fight for an Arizona that we can afford and America free from ISIS cruelty in a world where genocide never happens.

from that district in particular for sure yeah this is a solid democratic district it's rated by cook political report as solid dem uh it's a d plus four partisan voter index um but stronger than that in terms of how uh elections have gone by seven points in 2024 with two points going to a green party candidate and a tough year for democrats so this is
