But I think that, you know, the takeaway is –

This, you know, we as a group of Western journalists went there and we got attacked and we had this really close call.

The Palestinians who don't have armored vehicles, who don't have the benefit of a cameraman following around, knowing that this is going to be in the mainstream press, like the stakes for them are just infinitely higher.

And it's just frankly not worth most of them trying to get to their land.

And so I think in part, you know, we went there and a lot of the dangerous places that we go as journalists, we go to show, um,

This is what it's like to try to get to this place.

If you are a white Western journalist with all the protections that come with that, just imagine what it would be like for a Palestinian to try to come here.

I have not heard from the embassy, and I've reached out many times.

You know, Huckabee himself actually, after Safe was killed a year ago, he met with Camel, the father, and they had a long talk, and he promised that he would do everything he could to get justice for him.

Two weeks later, he went on television, and he denied that they even knew it was settlers who killed him, and then Camel never heard from him again.

He knows that settlers have occupied this American-owned land.

You know, the irony here is that

A lot of these Palestinian guys are from Florida, and they have stand-your-ground laws there, obviously.

You know, this is a private property issue among many others.

You would think that these sort of dyed-in-the-wool Republicans like Mike Huckabee, like Marco Rubio, like Donald Trump would want to stand up for Americans' rights to their private property to be able to stand their ground.

But, you know, of course, there's just total deference to Israel.

So the short answer is no.

There's been absolutely no support from –

the embassy.

I think the benefit of having a CNN crew there and Jeremy Diamond is that it's pretty much guaranteed to get attention whatever happens.
