I mean, people like to say that the last person in Trump's ear can radically shift what he thinks.
And I think that in this case, with an issue that he's been talking about for a very long time, being against these forever wars in the Middle East, it should be more difficult to do that.
My sense is that on some level,
Netanyahu and Rubio and all these people were able to sort of shift the whole narrative away from forever wars in the Middle East and to like, you are the conqueror of dictators.
You know, you took out Maduro.
You will will take out the Ayatollah.
Maybe you'll take out the next.
Yeah, I was just going to say the communist regime in Cuba.
I think that that is a sort of new hat that he's trying on.
And he's like, I kind of like this, actually.
My legacy will be I took out all these evil dictators.
And his thinking does not go too far beyond the narrative.
And so for all the concerns that he ostensibly had before about what comes next, I think that this is a sort of new shiny narrative, so to speak, that is working for him.
Let me ask Prem, though.
I mean, Prem, I don't know if you caught this, but we were saying how like Trump has actually at times shown an ability to stand up to Netanyahu and to
to draw lines, you know, much more so than Biden and some other presidents.
Why do you think in this instance, he did not do that?
Yeah, actually, I'm really glad you brought up the Iron Dome because this is, I'm going to veer a little bit from your question, but this is going to be increasingly an important debate in the coming years as the politics around Palestine-Israel change.
