and then the pet training seminar like if somebody drives eight hours people are like oh like impressive do you know what i mean like that level of you know how often do you train your dog and they're like oh you know what i mean like the level of commitment was a certain level and i went to your place and we were in florida and a dude drove there from alaska and no one was impressed right
like, where'd you come from?
He's like, Alaska.
And they went, Did you drive?
And he went, Yeah.
And they went, like, nobody even went, damn, everybody went like this.
Yeah.
Like, that's what the fuck you do.
That's just what I remember being like, holy shit.
What is the difference between these two worlds?
Yeah.
There's element switches.
It's not just one thing.
There's this switching of elements and the wait for it, wait for it.
It's like you get the aspects, like the predatory sequence, like you get to insert stalking moments of like,
precise, wait for it, not yet, not yet.
Yeah.
So it's like, one of the ways, this is interesting, one of the ways I explain it to people, especially when I'm teaching pet dog clients, is I say to them, and this is oversimplified, of course, but I explain to them, like, we know, like, negative reinforcement,
creates a a reliable a reliable completion of a of a basic standard like you're going to do what you got to do to remove the pressure but once the pressure is removed it doesn't create uh it doesn't create a search for excellence the dog like once we remove pressure they're not going to be like well what if i went extra fast like if the same thing happens if i go extra fast or slow whatever i relieve the pressure good enough you know
So it creates reliability to a standard, but it doesn't create a drive to excel, right?
