I had the wave top misunderstanding of it that everybody else has, you know, there's nothing I could do.

I just didn't understand it.

And it's like,

I don't think people realize that punishment doesn't cause those things.

Non-contingent aversives and abuse cause those things, but not punishment.

Because if it's punishment, punishment's just a mathematical description of future statistics.

Like it's just, it was 10 out of 10 before I did the thing.

Now that I've done the thing, it's two out of 10.

It was punished because it was reduced, right?

But I think that like...

I think that they see studies that have been done about all these problems with aversives, and they don't realize that in those studies, that shit was non-contingent aversives.

Right.

You know, I think I think that they didn't know it first.

And then, if they know they're either stuck, it's like the yellow bamboo martial art shit.

It's like, no,

It's like they don't know it's not real.

And so they totally believe it.

And they're not being disingenuous.

They're not bad actors.

They don't know.
