And then finally goes, God damn it, stop it and freak out.

And you're like, you're more like the two things you don't like.

because you're not thinking about it skillfully because you don't like to think about it.

And I don't like to think about it either.

I don't wanna think about causing aversive situations for my dog, but because I give it thought,

I don't use it out of anger because it's not something I held back until I exploded.

It's something used judiciously or honorably, you know, morally, ethically.

And I use it contingently and I use it as much as is needed.

But it's because I study it and understand it that I can do that.

I think people's psychological distaste for thinking about causing dogs aversives, aversion,

like they don't want to make dogs have anything other than pleasantness.

It's easier for people to live in a narrative than it is to face.

This applies to dog training and people.

The scariest things in the world to any being dogs or people is not knowing what comes next and not knowing if you have any control.

Like if those two things are fucking debilitating, like having no idea what is coming.
