We're staying at a research camp far away from any of the tourist lodges, the sort of place where lions are roaring, where your alarm clock in the morning, you had to lock your rooms with a key because the monkeys knew how to steal your shit.
It was fucking epic.
One day during the midday lull back at camp, I heard something fall from a window and land behind the fridge in the kitchen area.
It wasn't long before the culprit stuck its little fucking mincey head out.
And it was a very long, very green snake.
It was pretty skinny, probably only about an inch wide, but it was at least a metre long.
