I I have one of those uh vinyl cylinders, I think, that Thomas Edison invented.
That's my original version.
And of course now you can very easily find it on YouTube.
And that's what I did.
I revisited it leading up to uh this podcast just to refresh my experience with it.
Yeah.
It's
Fun, it's very loyal to the story, and it does use this experimental recording technique where they use microphones embedded inside human-shaped ears in like a mannequin head.
And that is the sole source of recording for all of the performance.
The idea is that when you listen to the recording with headphones, you feel embedded into this 3D.
to be space.
Okay.
I'd say there's a reason why that never really took off because it's it doesn't really work that well.
I found it distracting rather than in uh in
augmenting my experience.
Okay.
I might have a slightly more critical ear than the average listener because of the work we do and the audio production of our podcast.
