Um, and then losing in twenty twenty twenty-four.

Like I think that uh you know a lot of the voters, um uh the the sort of you know, vote blue no matter who, party loyalist voters, there's a lot fewer of them, and even among them, there's a lot of anger towards the party.

And Israel and I would add data centers has given a wedge issue whereby insurgent candidates can win.

So yeah, I think.

You you do see um the sort of James Carvell, uh Nira Tandon, Joe Scarborough types um that were, you know, like they're basically worried about their phony baloney jobs.

And uh the thing is that they've always been worried about that.

I mean, they were this is the same reason why this same cohort were so heavily against Bernie Sanders.

And um at that point they had they had used the type of identity politics of, you know, the Bernie bros.

And I think the Hassan Piker stuff goes against um is a continuation of that.

Um and I I think ALC made a really good point, which is about the Hassan Piker discourse, which is that, you know, we just had this period after the twenty twenty four loss where everyone in the Democratic was saying, you know, where's our Joe Rogan?

Where is our uh um uh

Um how can we reach young men?

And suddenly they're deciding like, you know, like actually we have to alienate uh the um um um uh media figure who is like, you know, like most able to reach that audience.

Yeah, no, no.

I mean I I think I think I genuinely committed to the centrism, but it's also the case uh and we we see this like this is a historical problem.

This was always my biggest worry about Bernie Sanders, like if he ever became the Democratic nominee.

Uh, which is not that I didn't think he could win, but I thought that there'd be enough uh powerful Democrats that would sabotage him, just as there were like powerful figures in the Democratic Party that sab worked to sabotage George McGovern in seventy two, just as Jeremy Corbin, his biggest

uh enemies were within the Labour Party.
