Like it is the case that like if you get a left candidate um uh uh uh presiding over a center left party, um uh factions within the party would rather lose uh and maintain control of the party.

That that that is a real danger.

Um now you know having said that I I think that like another the broader mood of the party is like very anti

Trump.

People understand, you know, like that um letting uh Trump control Congress uh you know would be a disaster.

So I I do actually think that like, you know, like I I'm thinking that in um Michigan there's still uh there's a real opportunity for like a consolidation.

And um but but yeah, right now um this faction, um, you know, like yeah, they would rather their big worry is not that el else uh

uh Said can uh uh uh uh l uh will lose their big worry is that he can win.

No, I mean I think it I think it's good to have a certain sense of modesty and I will not claim to know what is the best uh agricultural policy for uh in in terms of dairy products in Wisconsin.

That that that that that is not uh uh part of my purview.

So uh but but having said that, I mean I think that the one thing about that race is it was an executive race.

And I think that um like it with with Senate and congressional races, I think a certain amount of like

ideological heterodoxy.

I think the voters are very pleased with that.

We see that both on the Republican and Democratic side.

But like if you're a governor, you're like actually like you know being doing an administrative job.

And I think the left has had less success with that, except in terms of mayor or races, uh, where you know, like obviously Mandami and New York.

But um that is perhaps the next sort of frontier um uh for progression

And for the DSA uh left, if they can convince people um uh to have candidates uh uh take executive positions, then I th I think this might actually play out uh in the presidential race as well.
