Look, this is my line of country because when I was at uh OMB most recently. matched

Uh one of the things I was in charge of were uh things called SORNS, the system of uh record uh notifications. matched

Uh, that's what the Privacy Act generates. matched

So, and that's one of the basis for the plaintiff's arguments here to try to stop the Trump executive order of sharing uh across agencies, especially especially Social Security and DHS immigration status information. matched

So this is right in the heart of things I've done in the administration quite recently. matched

Look, this is an easy decision by the Supreme Court, which is one reason why they uh did it as a procureum. matched

It means that they're all unified. matched

That they thought that this was uh quite simple and I think matched

Uh uh Justice Katanji Brown Jackson's responses are are quite weak. matched

To the Norm Eisen point and the point that uh Katanji Brown Jackson emphasized about the so-called ninety day uh moratorium that the states can't do about uh anything about this once you're inside ninety days, that's blown up uh for the same reasons that their arguments under the Privacy Act. matched

And under the Social Security Act's confidentiality provision is blown up. matched

which is that there's just a clear provision in an immigration statute, which I call uh IRIRA, but some people call IRIRA. matched

Um, you know, whatever you call it, uh it's it's very clear and the Supreme Court agreed, let me just read you the provision. matched

I think people will understand. matched

Notwithstanding any other provision of federal, state, or local law. matched

A federal, state, or local government entity or official may not prohibit or in any way restrict any government entity or official from sending to or receiving from the DHS information regarding the citizenship or immigration status, lawful or unlawful, of any individual. matched
