But where it really gets good, the pièces de résistance are stickers.
This came into its own later in life, in college, when I'd buy used games and books from EB in half price.
There is nothing like successfully getting a good pull on the first try.
You get a good feel for it and familiarity with the quality of sticker, what glue or other adhesive is being employed and what tactics you will need to make use of.
As always, it's important to find where it's weakest, where it lifts up just a tad, isn't lying cockeyed, assuming most people have asked their jobs and don't bother to lay the sticker on completely flat.
Sometimes, and especially if the stickers are cheap, they'll tear.
But often you can work with the tear, gently scraping the edges up to pull the mark off in similar strips without damaging the product itself.
Though I do admit to buying something I have no interest in engaging with whatsoever just for the opportunity to tackle a particularly complicated multi-stack.

Multi-stacks, reissues, and double Ds for deep discounts are what we call stickered second-handers that get new stickers over the old ones.
Sometimes you get the chance to get a clean slate by finding a weak corner on an old sticker that has just begun to weaken.
going after the newest stickers, folly.
Just a complete waste of time.
I mean, sure, it will build your confidence, but that's not really what it's about.
It's about a clean slate, an unmarred end goal product.
