And actually when I was in New York, I actually offered them job in Hartford, uh,
But, you know, Greenwich to Hartford didn't seem that appealing to him, I guess.
So I guess we had to wait to get to Montreal.
But, you know, Kent has a lot of history with him, too.
Their kids play together at the program.
You know, he played for us in New York.
So there was that.
And then, you know, going into Montreal, we were pretty bad when we first got there.
And...
kind of promised we wouldn't change coaches.
And then just being there for a while, I could see the players' faces.
They were dying and we had to change something.
So we just started talking and saying, well, how about if we just tried this, you know, and Marty was willing to come for just the end of the season, which, you know, there's not a lot of NHL coaches just saying, Hey, I'll come for three months.
Let me show you, you know, usually it's a four or five year deal.
So,
That was appealing.
And honestly, the first time I ever saw him speak to the team, I was like, whoa, that's pretty good.
The guys are going to like that.
So you can see through his speeches, and he's very well thought out.
And, you know, you guys are all former players.
