And then I actually got one back from the University of Pittsburgh, Chris LaSalla, who's still there today, who's the director of football operations.

They invited me to come work their camp.

And that was years later, I went to Pitt because of that letter that I wrote as I worked my way up and met people from Pitt because of that letter.

So it worked.

I knew I was coaching.

That's all I wanted to do.

I mean, I was the guy when I was young for Christmas to ask for a mini whiteboard so I could sit there and watch games and draw plays.

I mean, that's what I did.

How old were you?

I mean, that was probably middle school.

In middle school, people were asking for whatever video games I was asking for a whiteboard.

My dad was my coach.

My dad coached me in everything that I did.

I just, for some reason, I loved football.

I wanted to coach football and I loved...

I think there's a lot of people who are obsessive about a lot of things.

It's usually just not X's and O's of a sport.

So, yeah, you can call me unique.

You can call me obsessive.

I guess those are all things that are true, and I'll take them as a compliment.
