I mean, selfishly as a Pirates fan, I hate to see him playing for someone.

I hated it when they traded him.

But would I take who they put in his place, who they replaced him with, over McCutcheon?

Absolutely.

So I don't have an issue with them making the choices they made instead of Andrew McCutcheon.

I hope he goes down there and does great.

I think it could have gotten really awkward, though, if they would have signed him with this current group because he'd be a situational player.

He'd be a platoon player.

He doesn't want to be that here.

I think he could be that somewhere else, but I think the stigma for him to be that type of player here, it's better if that's what he ends up being for the rest of his career, that it's not in Pittsburgh.

Andrew McCutcheon is one of the greatest Pirates of all time.

Don't you think it'd be weird if he's playing like two times a week and just kind of the last guy?

Yeah, but Maz could play in the field.

And I think they're looking at those days where you have Ozuna off, where O'Hearn becomes the DH, and you get Mangum into the lineup.

At this point in his career, I'll take Jake's potential over what Andrew has done.
